PESHAWAR, Sept 18: Chief Minister Akram Khan Durrani has said that an improved intelligence gathering mechanism should be adopted to keep a check on crimes in the province.  

Speaking at a meeting regarding the law and order situation here on Wednesday, he said to achieve success in fighting crimes an efficient intelligence gathering mechanism was necessary. Apart from that, he added, closer coordination among intelligence gathering outfits must be ensured.

The chief minister directed the law enforcement agencies to avoid laxity in arresting the criminals.
