LARKANA: Larkana police have recommended transfer of two infamous cases to the proposed military court and a letter to this effect has been sent to the provincial police chief.

Larkana SSP Kamran Nawaz has selected kidnapping, torture and murder case of a five-year-old girl and kidnapping for ransom and murder case of three-year-old Aamir Jatoi for a trial in military court, police sources said on Sunday.

They said the SSP had sent the recommendation to the Sindh IG through Larkana DIG. The five-year-old girl was kidnapped by three suspects who subjected her to criminal assault before killing her. The body was found dumped in a house located in Yar Mohammed Kalhoro Colony on Dec 27, 2014. The case is currently under trial at an antiterrorism court and the three suspects are in judicial custody.

Three-year-old Aamir Jatoi was kidnapped for ransom in Shaikh Zayed Colony and his body was found on March 13, 2012. Five suspects arrested in the case are in the Larkana Central Prison and facing a trial being held in a Karachi antiterrorism court.
