January 16, 2015 marks one month to the atrocious attack at Army Public School, Peshawar which took the lives of more than 150 people, most of whom were school children.
To honour the memories of the victims, singers and bands dedicated songs to the children and their parents for bearing such a heavy loss.
Zindagi Yaad Karti Hai—Shehzad Roy
Shehzad Roy, who is well known for his political and social activism, released an altered version of his old song “Zindagi Aas Ban Jaye” which conveyed the message: “education for all”.
His tribute version is titled “Zindagi Yaad Karti Hai”.
Bolo Na—Overload
Lahore based band Overload posted the video of their song “Bolo Na” on their official Facebook page with the message:
“In 2014, we lost some very good people. We lost a chunk of our future. This is for our parents, our children, for Peshawar, for Tharparkar, for Balochistan and for all that we are silently enduring!”
Bara Dushman Bana Phirta Hai—ISPR
Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) released a poignant musical tribute to commemorate the children slain last month in the horrific attack, as the survivors returned to their school on Monday.
Maa—Bilal Saeed
Musician Bilal Saeed also composed a heart-rending song “Maa” to pay respect to the children of Peshawar.
Maa Kisko Jhulao Gi Jhoola—Rahim Shah
Although not released as yet, singer Rahim Shah has recorded a revamped version of his song “Maa Mujh Ko Jhulao Na Jhoola” for the victims of Peshawar attack.
The song is titled as “Maa Kisko Jhulao Gi Jhoola” and is expected to be released soon.
Naraz Na Hona—Talha Anjum
Talha Anjum from Young Stunners also dedicated a song "Naraz Na Hona", to the Peshawar attack. The song is told from the perspective of children requesting their mothers not be upset if they fail to return home.

Lab Pe Aati Hai—Nomi Siddiqui
Famous poem "Bachay ki Dua" by Allama Iqbal was re-sung by artiste Nomi Siddiqui in the memory of all those who were laid to rest after the deadly attack.
Kilkariyaan —Frienzzz volume
Although still unknown to many people, a Bhopal based Indian band, Frienzzz volume came out with a song called “Kilkariyaan” which is a final call of the victims to their mothers.
