Cash, gold taken away

SIALKOT, Sept 14: Dacoits looted cash, gold ornaments and valuables worth Rs1.5 million in three incidents in Thakra Mahay village, Begowala, Daska tehsil, on Saturday night.

A gang of 17 dacoits stormed into the house of Tariq Riaz and held up the family members at gunpoint. They fled after collecting cash, jewellery and valuables worth Rs1 million.

Begowala police have registered a case against 11 nominated accused — Mukhtar, Arshad, Farid, Umer Mukhtar, Nasim Akhtar, Tariq, Adnan, Tahir, Altaf, Kashif and Shaki.

In another incident, 10 armed men looted cash, gold and valuables worth Rs150,000 from the house of Riaz.

Another gang of 10 dacoits took away cash, gold ornaments, electronics and valuables worth Rs350,000 from the house of Abdul Sattar.
