SHIKARPUR: A man allegedly shot dead his pregnant wife in their home apparently for delaying breakfast on Saturday, officials at the New Faujdari police station said.

They said that Mour Marri, son of Soomar Marri, shot dead his first wife, Waheeda Marri, with his TT pistol after quarrelling with her over delay in serving him the breakfast. He fled the home after committing the crime, they added.

An FIR was yet to be registered against him.

In another incident, a group of armed men belonging to the Teghani community attacked a house with automatic weapons in Haji Mehran Bijarani village resulting in the death of a 25-year-old man, Mewal Bijarani, officials at the Naparkot police station in Khanpur taluka said.

They said an old enmity between the Teghani and Bijarani communities of the area seemed to be the motive for the attack.
