KARACHI: The Pakistan Rangers, Sindh, claimed on Friday night to have killed three suspected militants in an `encounter’ on the outskirts of the city.

The paramilitary force on a tip-off conducted a raid on an alleged hideout of terrorists in the Ghaghar Phatak area, Steel Town, during which they came under attack.

In the ensuing exchange of fire, three suspected militants were shot dead, said the Rangers spokesperson. Their identity and possible affiliation with any group could not be ascertained immediately.
