KARACHI: A young man taken away from his home in SITE some days ago by a policeman and some plainclothes officials was found shot dead in Mochko on Thursday morning, officials said.

Hidayat Rehman, 39, with gunshot wounds in the chest and the head was found dead on Hawkesbay Road near Musharraf Colony, said Mochko SHO Chaudhry Saleem.

No spent bullet casing was found at the crime scene, indicating that he was killed somewhere else before his body was dumped by the roadside.

Another police officer, who wished not to be named, said the deceased appeared to be an Afghan national.
