PESHAWAR: The Pakistan People’s Party has appointed office-bearers in various districts with the instructions to restructure the district level organisations.

A veteran PPP women wing leader, Begum Shehzadi Suleman, was appointed as senior vice-president of the female wing, while Muhim Afridi was nominated as the deputy secretary general of the party’s KP chapter, according to a statement issued here on Monday.

The statement said that Rahat Durrani was appointed as vice-president of the women wing and Mian Yahya Kakakhel was appointed as president for the Nowshera district.

Malik Ghulam Hazrat was made general secretary and Syed Faridullah Shah member of the PPP provincial council.

Similarly, Shakil Khan and Safdar Ali Khan were appointed as president and general secretary, respectively, of the Bannu district; and Iqbal Hussain and Qismatullah Khan were named as president and general secretary, respectively, of Lakki Marwat district.

The statement said that the office-bearers were announced after consultations with the PPP provincial president Khan Zada Khan, general secretary Engineer Mohammad Humayun Khan, secretary information Liaquat Shabab and women wing provincial president MPA Nighat Orakzai.
