KHAIRPUR: Three youths shot dead

KHAIRPUR, Sept 12: Three youths of the Lashari clan were killed near Baharo Lashari village on Thursday night when they were going to village in a rickshaw.

Roshan Ali, Sabir Hussain and Aitabar Ali were intercepted and shot dead by twelve armed men outside the village. A woman accompanying them was left unhurt.

The bodies were handed over to the relatives of the dead youths after postmortem at the Kot Diji hospital.

No FIR was registered till filing of this report.

In another incident, a man, Roshan Ali alias Dalo Shahani, 45, was killed by some armed men outside Qaisar Shahani village on Friday.

The Ranipur police handed over the body to his relatives after postmortem examination.

TRAIN: The Sukkur Express reached here on Friday after 11 hours behind its schedule due to engine failure on Thursday night.

The Jacobabad-bound train was stopped at the Lundo railway station for more than five hours.

Its faulty engine was replaced after five hours due to which hundreds of passengers particularly children and women faced hardships.

The passengers, after their arrival at Khairpur, raised slogans against the Pakistan railways.
