Postings of Paramedics in offing

Published October 4, 2001

MANSEHRA, Oct 3: Local district executive officer health Dr Juma Khan while briefing newsmen here the other day said that all transfers and postings of para-medics, doctors and other staff will be subject to the orders of the director general of health, NWFP, and the criteria set by the authorities concerned.

He said some people were trying to pressurize the district health authorities to stop the postings and transfers, adding that they should bear the fact in mind that the rules and regulations would be followed strictly.

He said that the target set for the vaccination of children against polio was achieved during the anti-polio campaign concluded in the district recently.

He said that 610 mobile teams had been formed to administer polio vaccine to 230,000 children below five years of age, including 13,729 children of Afghan refugees and 73,000 from the tribal area of Kala Dakha.
