SIALKOT: Several Russian solar energy companies are ready to establish a 100MW solar power generation station to help the export-oriented industries in the city deal with the energy crises.

Russian Trade Representative in Pakistan Yury Kozlov said this during a meeting with exporters held at Sialkot Chamber of Commerce and Industry (SCCI) on Tuesday.

He assured the Sialkot business community of simplifying the Russian banking system and removing hurdles to encourage international trade.

The Russian trade representative also pledged to make efforts to ensure direct imports of Sialkot-made products instead of purchasing them from European countries at high prices.

The Russian trade envoy said that Russia is keen in developing strong mutual trade ties with Pakistan.

He assured his full cooperation in establishing the strong business-to-business trade relations between both the countries.

SCCI President Fazal Jillani, SVP Mir Alamgir Meyer, VP Malik Naseer Ahmed, Pakistan Gloves Manufacturers and Exporters Association SVC Sheikh Ejaz Ahmed Jammu, Mian Mohsin Gull, SCCI PRO Tajjamal Hussain, RDO Umair Nisar and others were also present in the meeting.
