GUJRANWALA, Sept 11: A ATC issued a show-cause notice to Kasur DPO Ghulam Kalyar for his failure to report findings of the probe into Sialkot jail incident, and directed the investigating officer to report on Friday.

Sources said DSPs (Investig-ation) Mohammad Younas and Umer Farooq had appeared in the court and said the DPO had submitted the report into the incident to the Punjab IGP.

Meanwhile, the judge accepted a plea of Shahid alias Kala — accused of supplying arms to the Sialkot jail, and shifted him from the Sialkot jail to Gujranwala.

The main accused, former Sialkot jail superintendent Sikander Hayat and assistant superintendents Akhter Iqbal, Raja Mushtaq Ahmad and Ghulam Sarwer were present in the courtroom. They have been detained in the local district jail. — Correspondent
