RAWALPINDI: ‘Go Nawaz Go’ slogan was also heard at the Government Postgraduate College for Women, Satellite Town, during the visit of Punjab Minister for Labour and Manpower Raja Ashfaq Sarwar on Saturday.

However, the minister and PML-N leaders MNA Malik Abrar Ahmed, MPAs Zaibun Nisa Awan, Raja Hanif Advocate, and Dr Jamal Nasir ignored the slogans.

Accompanied by the PML-N parliamentarians, the minister visited the college to attend a medals-awarding function, “Strong women, better Pakistan”.

During the speech of the minister, two students stood up from their seats and chanted “Go Nawaz Go” slogan. However, the college administration officials and staff members managed to bring the slogan chanters out of the hall.

Later, when the minister was visiting the fine arts department, a group of students again chanted the slogan and ran away.

When contacted, MPA Raja Hanif Advocate told Dawn, “We never heard such a slogan.” He said the PML-N was working for the betterment of the students and people in the country and would continue it without any hurdle. “Children do such things but don’t take it seriously,” he said laughingly.
