KARACHI: Two men die in accidents

KARACHI, Sept 10: An unidentified young man was killed in Gulzar-i-Hijri on Wednesday.

Police said that the body was found near the New Bridge near Sabzi Mandi off Super Highway. The police shifted the body to Jinnah Postgraduate Medical Centre for post-mortem examination.

Hospital sources said that victim had torture marks on his body.

However, the post-mortem report was reserved till the receipt of the chemical report. Later, the body was shifted to the Edhi morgue for identification.

ACCIDENTS: Two men died in separate road traffic accidents in different parts of the city on Wednesday.

Police said that Sher Afzal Khan, 30, was crossing main road in Shah Latif when he was knocked down by an unidentified vehicle. He was taken to the JPMC, where doctors pronounced him dead on arrival.

In Korangi Industrial Area, a speeding vehicle hit and injured a young man near Vita Chowrangi. Afzal, 20, was taken to the JPMC, where he died during treatment, police added.

DIES: A six-year-old boy died after falling into the storm water drain in Bengali Para.

Police said that Rafiq was playing outside his house in Bengali Para when he fell into the open drain in the limits of TPX police station.

Till filing of this report fire brigade officials were making efforts to recover the body.
