KARACHI: European Financial Marketing Association (EFMA), a global non-profit organisation, on Wednesday held an international retail banking conference at State Bank (SBP) to find a futuristic approach for the development of retail banking.

Branchless banking, payments in an emerging market and Islamic banking were the main topics which were addressed by a number of speakers from local and international banks, including the SBP.

The conference focused on dynamic approach of convenience and ease of access to customers.

“I supported this conference just to attract foreign investment and foreign banks in the country which will help to build strong SME sector, branchless banking and creating jobs,” said Atiq ur Rahman, an expert on banking industry and an organiser of the conference.
