Outlaws arrested in Islamabad

ISLAMABAD: Police arrested 31 people for their involvement in various criminal activities on Sunday.

As many as 148 wine bottles, 1.14kg hashish, 300gm heroin, gold ornaments, valuables and an unlicensed pistol were recovered from the possession of those arrested.

Acting on a tip-off, a police spokesman said three bootleggers were arrested.

A police team also arrested two drug dealers and recovered hashish and heroin from their possession. A thief who was running away with gold ornaments, watches, a television set and cash was also caught.

The Anti-Car Lifting Cell recovered one 30-bore pistol along with ammunition from the possession of a suspect, while beggars were arrested in Shahzad Town area.

Police arrested 18 people for alleged involvement in immoral activities during a raid in Lohi Bher. Ten liquor bottles were also recovered from their possession.
