WHAT seemed like an olive branch was soon revealed to be a farce.

Mr Imran Khan has asked that the ISI and MI be made a part of an election probe. However, in the same speech he reminds the people of the role played by the ISI allegedly in dishing out funds to leaders of the IJI in a previous election.

Is all of this part of some plan or does he have a tendency to forget all about his previous utterances? The unfortunate part is that he is only succeeding in frightening away all decent persons who otherwise would be willing to serve the country.

Here one would like to point out that there is a difference between self-respect and arrogance as there is between a political leader and a container-mounted bully.

Unfortunately, the ruling party does not inspire much confidence either.
