KARACHI: Mauripur National and Faqir Colony clubs won top honours in the seniors and boys categories of the two-day all-Karachi National Bank of Pakistan Allama Iqbal boxing tournament which concluded at the Peoples Sports Complex on Sunday.

Mauripur National captured four gold medals to maintain supremacy while Azad Baloch club finished runner–up with two golds.

Faqir Colony pugilists dominated the boys category and picked up four golds while Pak Shaheen had to be content with second slot with two golds.

Veteran 1972 Olympian Malang Baloch, who graced the occasion, gave away the prizes. Also present on the occasion were former internationals Abdul Ghani Darwesh, Rashid Baloch, Rustam Fida Hussain, Sher Mohammad, Murad Bux, Akbar Ali, Younus Qambrani, Sindh Boxing Association secretary Asghar Baloch and Mehar Bux.

34 kg: Naeem bt Noman 2-1

36 kg: Sumair bt yaseen 2-1

38 kg: Nabeel bt Danish 2-1

40 kg: Shoaib bt Akhtar 2-1

42 kg: Sajid Rasheed bt Farman 3-0

44 kg: Zohaib Rasheed bt Waqas 3-0

Seniors:

49 kg: Shehroz Kachi bt Saeed Saleem 2-1

52 kg: Hamid Hussain bt Naeem 2-1

56 kg: Furqan Butt bt Zahid 2-1

60 kg: Faraz bt Rashid 2-1

64 kg: Naqeebullah bt Akhtar 3-0

69 kg: Danish bt Munir 2-1
