RAHIM YAR KHAN: Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf Punjab President Ejaz Chaudhry says his party will support Sirdar Zulfiqar Khosa for his ‘forward bloc move’ despite the fact that PTI members of the provincial assembly have resigned.

Addressing a press conference here on Monday, he said: “Most of the political parties in the parliament are silent on the issue of rigging during the 2013 elections because there are deals and offers from the government for them.”

Mr Chaudhry arrived here to review arrangements for PTI public meeting on Nov 9.

He claimed that on Nov 30 different political parties would join the PTI “because they are in touch with us”.

He said the PTI sit-in gave a courage to commoners and his party wanted accountability of those involved in rigging of the 2013 elections and the subsequent punishment.

He lamented the ‘worst’ law and order situation in Rahim Yar Khan district as police figures showed.

“Sugar mills mafia is flourishing while poor farmers are denied optimum price,” he said.

He demanded that the Trading Corporation of Pakistan immediately start procuring cotton.
