LARKANA: Sindh National Party (SNP) chief organiser Ashraf Noonari has said the Pakistan Peoples Party and the Muttahida Qaumi Movement are out to ignite linguistic riots in Sindh to achieve their interests.
Speaking at a workers convention at the National House here on Thursday, he feared if ‘anti-Sindh’ policies of both parties continued, they would result in a civil war.
He vowed that Sindhis would foil the conspiracy to divide Sindh, saying that carving out new provinces from Sindh or creating administrative units would be in violation of the constitution.
He said Sindh had joined Pakistan in accordance with the 1940’s resolution and it would remain intact. The establishment exploiting the 18th amendment to the constitution was raising voice from the Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf and MQM’s platform for new provinces, he said.
