GUJAR KHAN: Girls studying at Government High School and Government College in Daultala are facing great challenges in their road towards education.

The road to this institution is in bad shape, near impossible to use. A road that was once paved is missing tarmac and gravel and becomes a pool of water and mud on rainy days.

Girls at the school, while talking to Dawn, said that the Punjab chief minister was encouraging students by giving them laptops and solar lamps but many were finding it difficult to even reach school. A number of students have fractured their limbs while trying to reach classes.

Sajid Mehmood Bhatti, a local leader aligned with PML-Q, while commenting on the situation, said women education had been a top priority in all developed societies but the PML-N government was neglecting girl colleges and schools.

He said maintenance of this road was the duty of Town Municipal Administration Gujar Khan has had three women administrators in recent years and none of them bothered to alleviate the difficulties of these girls.
