ISLAMABAD: Information Minister Pervaiz Rasheed on Saturday said Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Imran Khan should learn from his mistakes so that these are not repeated.

Speaking to media representatives in Islamabad, the minister, taking a spike at the sit-ins being held in Islamabad, said these had resulted in financial losses for the country during the past few months and had led to a delay in Pakistan’s economic progress.

In a bid to maintain pressure on the prime minister, which has apparently eased after the Pakistan Awami Tehreek’s exit from Islamabad’s D-Chowk, Imran on Friday asked people from across the country to reach the federal capital on November 30.

Rasheed was addressing reporters after visiting Jamiat Ulema-i-Islam - Fazl (JUI-F) chief Maulana Fazlur Rehman at the latter's residence two days after he and some other leaders of his party escaped a suicide attack in Quetta.

Rasheed condemned the attack on Fazl which claimed the lives of two JUI-F workers and said the army was engaged in the task of purging the country of terrorists.

He said the army was engaged in the mission of tackling terrorist elements and personnel of the armed forces had been rendering great sacrifices for the cause of peace in Pakistan.

Rasheed said the nation was united against terrorist groups, adding that Pakistan would become stronger and more secure in the coming days.
