LAHORE: Law Minister Mujtaba Shujaur Rehman says the government will legislate on five ordinances during the assembly session that commenced on Monday.

He has asked the opposition to join the law-making process in the public interest and claimed the assembly had done record legislation during the last six years.

He was speaking at a pre-session briefing to the Punjab Assembly’s press gallery committee.

After 11-day session work, the assembly would again meet after Muharram 10, he said. A unanimous resolution against Indian aggression would also be adopted in the ongoing assembly session.

He said the MPAs who wanted to resign should appear before the speaker to verify their act (of resignation).
