KARACHI, Sept 4: Opener Khurram Manzoor smashed a sparkling 95 to steer Karachi City Cricket Association (KCCA) to their third win PCB Inter-regional Under-19 cricket One-day tournament when they overwhelmed Quetta by eight wickets at Quaid-i-Azam Park Groun Steel Town on Thursday.

Right handed Khurram belted 15 boundaries off mere 81 balls before being dismissed five run short of century.

Khurram with Naveed Khan put on 110 runs for the second wicket after first wicket had gone down with 27 runs on the board. KCCA reached the target in 25th over. Naveed hit three boundaries in his 52-ball knock.

Earlier Quetta were spun out for 139 in 48th over after electing to bat first. Off-spinner Faraz Patel claimed three wickets for ten runs in 9.2 overs spell.

Fellow off-break bowler Asif Hameed chipped in with two wickets for 20 run in ten overs. Muhammad Kaleem topscored with 47 for Quetta. He faced 80 balls and it included six hits to the boundary.

With their third win in row, KCCA are leading the points table.

Our Hyderabad Correspondent adds: Thanks to a magnificent allround performance by Taj Mohammed Hyderabad Under-19 scored an exciting three wickets victory against Multan in the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) Under-19 One-Day championship on Thursday at Niaz Stadium, Hyderabad, according to reports reaching here.

Taj first took three wickets for 24 and then scored an undefeated 55 as Hyderabad reached 208 for seven wickets in 49.3 overs in reply to Multan’s 207 all out.

For the winners Mohammad Ali also played significant part in his team’s victory with his fluent 55.
