HYDERABAD, Sept 4: The University of Sindh has approved the award of 11 PhD and two MPhil degrees to scholars in different disciplines.

This was decided at a recent meeting of the Advanced Studies and Research Board of the university.

The meeting approved the award of five PhD degrees in Analytical Chemistry (Faculty of Natural Sciences) to Ghulam Qadir Shar, Ghulam Abbas Shar, Mushtaq Ali Jakhrani, Munawar Saleem and Syed Hussain Niaz Rizvi.

The award of four PhD degrees to candidates of the Faculty of Social Sciences; Zulfiqar Chughtai and Prof Azra Sarwar Kandhar in International Relations, and Prof Marhab Qasimi and Goband Herani in Economics, was approved.

Two PhD degrees in Islamic Culture (Faculty of Islamic Studies) are to be awarded to Rafiq Ahmed Mangrio and Sajid Hassan Khan and two MPhil degrees to Abdul Saleem Memon in Mathematics and Muniza Malik in Psychology.
