LAHORE: Unfazed by recent anti-government protests, Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif on Saturday said that the people of Pakistan had elected the Pakistan Muslim League – Nawaz (PML-N) and it will complete its five-year tenure.
Governments do not change over the 'whims of a few people', the prime minister remarked.
He was apparently referring to leaders of the Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf (PTI) and the Pakistan Awami Tehreek (PAT), who have been carrying out anti-government protest across the country for over two months.
Speaking at session for the rehabilitation of flood victims here today, Nawaz said that the government was doing its level-best in all aspects.
The PML-N will complete the five-year mandate that has been given by the people, he said. He vowed that his government would not allow any force to impede the progress of the nation.
He commended Punjab Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif, who he said was working day and night to provide relief to the flood-affected people.
The prime minister also directed the government to quickly complete its rehabilitation plan for the flood victims.

Mr. PM, you don't get it, do you? It is not a whim of few people. You saw it in Multan where a below average candidate won due to protest vote against the candidate that your party supported. Please accept the reality and leave for the love of country. All the king's men and all the king's horses cannot put Humpty Dumpty back together again.

Our great leader PM. I say great becuase not only has he shown great patience and maturity when dealing with IK and TUQ, but also continues to work hard to fix the many challenges the country faces. NS I will vote for you, if u improve the electricity crisis. I know you are working on it, but please expedite and dont let a few selfish politicians hold you back.

Whereas, the 3rd is in making but on past two counts, Mr Sharif failed miserably and departed to Arabia leaving Pakistan bankrupt in late 90s. Knowing his past records, improving governance could be his last political salvation now!

There is no doubt that Cricketer Imran and Canadian Molvi were hatching conspiracy to derail democracy.Both persons are inexperienced and if Army would have taken over and imposed Martial Law ,these two person( who might have got some false promises from some quarters) would never have been given the post of Prime Minister.
In Dharna, Canadian Molvi has brought some labourers on daily wages and B.B.C has shown a long documentary in this regard.Nawaz Sharif is correct, as on the pressure of 3000 to 4000 persons ,how an elected Prime Minister can be compelled to resign? under the law, Canadian Molvi should first drop his Canadian Nationality which he had got by giving a false statement to Canadian Government that he is fearing death in Pakistan at the hands of some extremists.Imran has also no chance.

Prove that the elections were fair and clean and no problem you can continue to govern errrr I mean loot for 5 years. However if you cheated then what is the price for that? All his assets and those of his family and friends repatriated and he is prisoned for life.
However as easlty as he can shut IK up he won't do that because he knows he is a cheater.

Speeches of Nawaz Sharif reminds me of Pakistan Army's press releases during E. Pakistan final days of existence. The army spokesman will claim that every thing were in control and going well. In reality they were to surrender to Indian army, the saddest day of my life. Mr. Sharif stop dreaming and come to senses.

Respected PM, you are doing good and you mean well for Pakistan. Please improve the governance and get rid of nepotism. Bring in the competent Pakistanis including overseas Pakistanis to help you build the Country. It is not necessary to keep your brother, Ch. Nisar and the like who have been and continue to be a political liability to you because of their incompetence. I am sure that there are others in the PML-N and beyond who can serve the Country in a much better fashion..
