Rafih crowned champion

HYDERABAD, Sept 3: Rafih Drabari overcame Saad Baloch 7-6, 3-6, 6-4 in the final to lift Independence Day Hyderabad District tennis championship 2003 at Hyderabad Gymkhana.

Abid Ali and Omer Kazi captured the doubles title beating Rafih and Hyder Ansari 6-3, 6-3.

In boys under-18 Saad clinched the trophy defeating his brother Samad 6-4 and 6-3 while in boys under-14, Talha Dar grabbed the cup defeating Ibrahim Omer 7-6, 2-6, 6-3. Special prizes were also received by Talal Dar, Qurban Ali, Khizer, Anas Khan, Muneeb Iqbal and Bakhtiar Hussain.
