Policeman killed in Quetta firing

QUETTA: A policeman was shot dead in the early hours of Monday morning near Kuchlak area of Quetta.

Police said that two armed motorcyclists opened fire at the vehicle of Abdul Raheem who died on the spot. Police said the victim received five bullets.

Raheem was serving as a sub-inspector at the Kuchlak Police Station.

The attackers sped away on their motorcycle after launching the attack.

Raheem’s body was shifted to Civil Hospital Quetta for a postmortem.

Police and Frontier Corps (FC) personnel reached the site of the attack as a probe into the incident went under way.

The motive behind the killing could not be ascertained. No group has claimed the responsibility for the attack as yet.
