ISLAMABAD, Sept 2: The Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority (Ogra) will announce its decision on Wednesday on the applications of SSGC and SNGPL for grant of exclusive licence for transmission, distribution and sale of natural gas.

SSGC and SNGPL had filed separate applications for grant of integrated licence for transmission and sale of natural gas in Sindh, Balochistan, and Punjab and NWFP, FATA Federal Capital, and AJK.

The applications were admitted and notices to all interested, affected persons and parties were given through press, including information regarding salient features of the applications.

Ogra held public hearings at Karachi, Lahore, Peshawar and Quetta to provide the general public with an opportunity to participate in the proceedings.
