Dawar, Marib, Ibrahim win

KARACHI: Dawar Rehan, Marib Malik and Ibrahim Iltifat won their respective second round matches in the U-17 singles event of NBP Open Tennis Championship at DA Creek Club here on Tuesday.

Dawar proved too good for his second round opponent Asad Khan to win by 6-1, 6-1 while Ibrahim thrashed Mohammad Dada by a convincing 6-2, 6-3 margin. Marib also proved a strong opponent for Uzair Ghaznavi, conceding only a single point before recording a 6-0, 6-1 win.

Results:

U-17 singles second round: Ibrahim Iltifat bt Mohammad Dada 6-2, 6-3; Dawar Rehan bt Asad Khan 6-1, 6-1; Marib Malik bt Uzair Ghaznavi 6-0, 6-1.

U-13 singles quarters: Amin Shaffi bt Houd 6-3, 6-2; Ajay Chohan bt Rayyan Jawwad 6-1, 2-6, 10-7.

U-11 singles second round: Rayyan Jawwad bt Yameen 8-3; Abdullah Khan bt Ali Dada 8-0; Yayha Khan bt Hamdanul Aziz 8-1.
