PESHAWAR: Provincial chief of Jamiat Ulema-i-Islam-Fazl Maulana Gul Naseeb on Monday said that his party would observe protest demonstrations on Friday against the assassination of party leader in Hangu.

Speaking at a news conference at the party provincial secretariat here, he condemned the assassination of JUI-F deputy chief of Hangu, Maulana Sher Alam Farooqi, and held the provincial government responsible for the killing.

“The incidents of extortion, kidnapping for ransom and targeted killing are on the rise while the leadership of the ruling party of Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf is busy in a musical show in Islamabad,” he said.

Mr Naseeb said that minorities were not safe in the province which was failure of the provincial government.

He alleged that the drama staged by PTI chief Imran Khan was against the teachings of Islam. “The PTI’s agenda is to promote western culture in Pakistan,” he added.

The JUI-F leader condemned the assassination of the administrator of a medressah in Rawalpindi.
