GILGIT-Baltistan does not have a provincial service commission, while the Federal Public Service Commission (FPSC) is reluctant to conduct competitive examinations in Gilgit-Baltistan.
The FPSC has not even announced the syllabus of Combined Competitive Examinations for Gilgit-Baltistan. After Gilgit-Baltistan’s empowerment and self-governance, the issue of legality has surfaced for the conduct of competitive examinations in GB.
The FPSC should resolve the issue and announce the date of examinations as it does in other provinces. Why is Gilgit-Baltistan being deprived of its rights?
