Adnan Rasool reported for suspect action

KARACHI: Lahore Lions’ off-spinner Adnan Rasool, who has bowled quite impressively for his team at the Champions League matches in India during the past week, has been reported for suspect action by the umpires, it was reliably learnt on Monday.

Adnan was reported by the on-field umpires Kumar Dharmasena and Chettithody Shamshuddin after the match against Kolkata Knight Riders in Hyderabad Deccan on Sunday which the Lahore Lions lost by four wickets. Adnan has been placed on a warning list but can play and bowl in a match.

Prior to his stint in India, Adnan was examined for suspect action at the National Cricket Academy in Lahore and he had comfortably passed the test since he measured in the range of 10 to 12 degrees.

Adnan was also earmarked as a contender for the ODI and T20 squads for the matches against Australia in the UAE next month and a hot contender to replace seasone spinner Saeed Ajmal who was banned for illegal bowling action by the ICC early this month.

Yeah I noticed he has a major flaw in his action. However you can't say every player, afridi, hafeez, the left arm offspinner i forgot his name and others too are all fine.

ever since India has monopolized the ICC / either we bow to India else we forget about this game and start improving hockey.... one after another India is putting our bowlers out and out and out ..... no point in watching listless CLT20 or IPL ... both are on brink of extinction...trust me.

But the earlier report said that the $440,000 equipment comprised of some 20 plus cameras was never even opened due to lack of expertise at Lahore. So did they measure the angles reported in this article.

Sunil Narine chucks by 'extending' his arm during most deliveries and by flexing during doosra. Some how the 'benders' are being picked by umpires and extender chuckers are not. Every doosra delivered by Sunil Narine and Ashwin are chucks. The only legal delivery Narine bowls is a ball that does not do any thing but does straight.

@ailly who cares about Botham.If IPL was not so successful then how it was in its 7th edition. Dude grapes are always sour for people like you. And about fixing BCCI always adopt zero tolerance policy unlike your board who always try to bring match fixers to playing circuit and support them.

A lot of Indians are surprisingly interested in this article. perhaps their masters have caught another pakistani fish in their own waters using their own fisherman. LOL Yes pak is on a backfoot but atleast we havent sold ourselves to the money devil like BCCI . The Indian ICC president surprisingly corrupt enough to not be allowed to be a BCCI president anymore is superseding on cricket affairs yet they have the nerve to come and talk about pakistan.

Its sad that due to PCB's irresponsibility every now and then Pakistanis around the world hear such stories. Recently, i was in Pakistan for my Eid holidays and had an opportunity to watch a local T20 Ramadan final in Karachi, there was a bowler named Misbah Khan playing for Omer Associates team, one of the biggest chucker i ever came across in recent times, but still everyone was fine with it, although the match was live on National Television. My point is, until and unless we check and train them on grass roots level we will never discipline these otherwise talented individuals. I

Also, if you care to read British newspapers like the Guardian on a regular basis, you'll realise the English themselves laugh at Ian Botham, saying he talks rubbish. And when did Botham become the last word on cricketing and administrative ethics?
