Asghar shines in Dolphins’ win

KARACHI: Spinner Mohammad Asghar reaped a rich harvest as Karachi Dolphins eased to an easy third-round win over Dera Murad Jamali Ibexes in the PCB Inter-Region U-19 One-day Cricket Tournament here on Thursday.

The slow left-armer grabbed six for 11 to send Ibexes reeling to 88 all out in 39.2 overs after the visitors had decided to bat first after winning the toss at the NBP Sports Complex.

The Dolphins reached a modest target in 21.2 overs with Rabish Ahmed hitting six boundaries in a 53-ball 41.

In the other Pool ‘A’ game at the Shaheed Mohtarma Benazir Bhutto International Cricket Stadium in Garhi Khuda Bakhsh, Quetta Bears overpowered Larkana Bulls by 80 runs.
