ISLAMABAD: Pakistan’s squash and tennis squads on Wednesday left for Incheon, South Korea to participate in the 17th Asian Games.

The squads left for South Korea here from the Benazir Bhutto International Airport. They will make Incheon via Bangkok.

The squash squad, comprising eight players and two officials, will defend the title they clinched four years ago in Guangzhou, China.

The squash team consists of Nasir Iqbal, Farhan Zaman, Farhan Mahboob, Danish Atlas, Maria Toorpakai, Samar Anjum, Rifat Khan, and Muqaddas Ashraf. Coach Jamshed Gul and Rana Tariq are also accompanying the team

Meanwhile, the tennis squad comprising Aqeel Khan, Mohammad Abid, Ushna Sohail and Sara Mansoor along with their coach Mohammad Khalid also left for Incheon.

The tennis squad, for the first time, has equal representation of male and female players for Asian Games.
