After some delay, the highly-anticipated seventh installment of Coke Studio is scheduled to air on Sunday, September 21.

The announcement was made by Coke Studio on Twitter and Facebook pages today (Saturday).

Despite being scheduled for September 7, the start of season 7 was earlier delayed owing to the Islamabad protests which were arresting national attention and extensive media coverage.

As all-out coverage of the sit-ins in the capital has substantially diminished one month later, the platform has announced its decision to air the first episode next Sunday.

The line-up for this season includes some of Pakistan’s most prolific mainstream, traditional and upcoming artists:

  • Abbas Ali Khan

  • Abida Parveen

  • Abrar-ul-Haq

  • Akhtar Chanal Zahri

  • Asrar

  • Fariha Parvez

  • Humera Channa

  • Javed Bashir

  • Jawad Ahmed

  • Jimmy Khan

  • Komal Rizvi

  • Meesha Shafi

  • Momin Durrani

  • Naseer Shahab

  • Niazi Brothers

  • Rahat Fateh Ali Khan

  • Rachel Viccaji

  • Rahma Ali

  • Sajjad Ali

  • Sanam Saeed

  • Sara Haider

  • Usman Riaz

  • Ustaad Raees Khan

  • Ustaad Tafu Khan

  • Zoe Viccaji

  • Zoheb Hasan

With many new additions, Coke Studio endeavours to cultivate a sense of national pride and make the platform more accessible to a diverse audience of viewers.
