KHUZDAR: A shutter down strike was observed in Khuzdar, Kalat and Mastung districts on Monday on the call of Balochistan National Party-Mengal (BNP-M) against the alleged operations in different areas of the province and killing of their party leader in Panjgur.

All major markets and private banks remained closed in these towns throughout the day.

Heavy contingent of law-enforcement agencies were deployed on important places and bazaars to avert any untoward incident. However, the strike remained peaceful.
