KHAIRPUR, Aug 30: The students of the Sami High School, Sobhodero Taluka, held a protest demonstration for the second consecutive day on Friday demanding that a school building be constructed in Hingorja.

Talking to newsmen, their representatives said that the school building had become dilapidated due to which classes were being held in the schoolyard under the open sky.

DEMO: Employees of the agriculture department held a protest demonstration in front of the press club on Friday against an attack on their officials.

Their representatives, Qamaruddin and others, told newsmen that a dealer and his supporters attacked agricultural officials, who were inspecting pesticides in the Faiz Ganj Taluka, and smashed the windscreen of an official vehicle.

PROTEST: The people of the Bahar Shah village, Gambat Taluka, observed a sit-in against Hesco in front of the Union Council Belharo office in the Naoe Pathano village on Thursday.

The protesters wore black armbands and demanded restoration of electricity, which was cut off 15 days ago.

The protesters said that some three months ago Hesco officials installed an old transformer which went out of order some 15 days back.

The villagers demanded that the transformer be changed immediately.
