KARACHI: Nouman Aftab recovered from a set down to beat Jalaluddin Baber in the finals of the U-14 singles event at the 2nd Indus Pharma Senior and Junior Tennis Tournament here at Karachi Club on Monday.

Jalaluddin took the first set 6-4 but Nouman bounced back strongly to win the second set as well as the third and decisive set to clinch the title by 4-6, 6-3, 10-6.

In the ladies singles event final, Hania Naveed overpowered Wania Khan by 6-2, 6-4 to clinch the title. Coincidentally, both the players met again in the final of Girls U-18 event which was also won by Hania 6-1, 7-5.

U-18 semi-finals: Talha Zubair bt Dawar Rehan 6-2, 6-1; Malik Hamza bt Hassan Farooq 6-1, 6-1

U-16 semi-finals: Nofil Kalim bt Hassan Farooq 6-2, 6-4

U-14 finals: Nouman Aftab bt Jalaluddin Baber 4-6, 6-3,10-6

Ladies singles final: Hania Naveed bt Wania Khan 6-2, 6-4

Girls U-18 final: Hania Naveed bt Wania Khan 6-1, 7-5.
