Imran's move towards PM House prompted by a message: Javed Hashmi

ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf (PTI) president Javed Hashmi on Sunday addressed a press conference and called on the PTI chief Imran Khan to leave Parliament House.

Hashmi clarified the position on his differences with the party chief saying: “Imran Khan had assured the party of not moving ahead towards the Prime Minister House...until Shaikh Raheed brought a message with someone".

Imran then said that the situation required us to move forward, to which “I had differences”, Hashmi said.

He also said that the party was against the decision of moving towards the PM House.

Hashmi said he would rejoin his leader as soon as Imran would get the protesters out of Parliament House.

Hashmi has unhappy over his party’s decision to join hands with PAT because he feared it could lead to a violent situation.

Hashmi is of the view that the army should not be dragged in politics no matter who had asked it to become a facilitator.

This man is done. He wants to go back to N-League, he should not be denied. Leaves party every time the situation is tough. He should form his own party and become its Chairman, that is the only way he can do whatever he wants. He supports sit-in but can not stay in sit-in. Supports agitation but can not be a part of it. Imran Khan has been stabbed in the back this time by a guy who openly declared Nawaz Sharif his leader on the floor of the house. Hashmi sahab nobody was expecting this from you. I don't know how much this statement is going to hurt IK but it seems PTI in its simplicity allowed a PMLN mole in its midst for which they will have to pay dearly. IK should also be wary of characters like Sheikh Rasheed and the old politicians who joined him after October 30.

Pakistani's who support PTI (or PMLN) are all doing it for their love of Pakistan. When the goal is common, differences should be resolved by shunning emotion and examining fact. Dear PTI, it's no use blaming Javed Hashmi for speaking the truth or asking if he did the same when NS marched on the Supreme Court. NS should have been condemned then just as IK's advance on PM House should be condemned today. If IK resorts to the same expedient tactics as those he criticizes, he loses ALL credibility since he himself claims to be better then the rest. Naya Pakistan cannot be built on compromising one's ideals and principles so easily.

It seems from Hashmi's recent behavior by leaving his leader at critical times as he has done now and before that he is a planted mole of the PML(N) to keep them informed and influence the leader's decision making at critical points. Javaid Hashmi should not have made such things public because these times are very critical and any statement by someone from the inside can really hurt the cause. If he didnt agree with moving forward he should have left with silence. It was a dead sit in and people were shrinking and IK had to do something to make things moving. So he followed TUQ which was not that bad decision seeing govt not moving an inch in positive direction. Imran khan should not trust him again!

I am no supporter of NS but I agree with all the points of Javed Hashmi. Democracy is a process, if the process is flawed then campaign to fix the process and not an individual. The right way would have been to remove NS in the next election while fixing the process. Sadly, looks like this won't happen. if army comes back to power then in own cricketing terms it will be innings defeat to Imran Khan

Ever since Plato, or perhaps earlier than that, anybody who has given thought to the state craft has said the same thing that the army's job should be to obey the political leaders. In this context, Javed Hashmi makes better sense than Imran Khan. However, it is lamentable that PML-N thought of making General Raheel Sharif the facilitator and the guarantor of the negotiations and its result. When Pakistani politicians will become mature and think that politics is about the service of the people and not about amassing wealth and clinging to power at all costs. If the Pakistani Army does not interfere in Pakistani politics then in the end things will settle down. However, there will be some cost to it. But if the Paksitani Army intervenes in the present day crisis then the cost will be much higher.

Imran Khan's sympathisers (including me) had strong apprehensions when he accepted, persuaded or welcomed old guards like JH and SMQ, Assef Ahmad Ali etc. etc. in his party. PTI was and is still considered to be a party of new generation and a new crop of politicians. Entrants like Assed Umar, Saeed Murad, MAK Afridi are just a few names who are the real stamps of the party. When you welcomed the old guards into PTI - it was one mistake and if you chuck them out now or later, it will be mistake number two. Just brave them.

The public seems to be extremely confused. Nobody is sending any messages to anyone, Mr Javed Hashmi is a fickle minded person, and bringing revolution is not his cup of tea. What did he think why the PTI and its protestors were sitting in the Red Zone, for a cup of tea, and he was not prepared that in case of any retaliation from Nawaz Sharif the protesters have a right to self defense, for him a little damage to the concrete buildings was more important than the loss of precious lives. And don't try to create suspense by making stupid stories, if the Army had any intentions to intervene, they do not require any prior approval of any person, nor they will be a party in the politics of both Nawaz and Imran. When the Army decides they take action on their own.

I have this theory: The military is behind all three leaders. IK, TUQ and Nawaz. The are playing two games: Divide and rule Command and conquer 90 % of Pakistanis do not have the same facilities and opportunities which are provided to the military. This military industrial complex is the biggest burden on Pakistan. The have created this strife so that the general public will not focus on the core issues. The needs of the Pakistani people can not be meet, as long as this military is eating away this country. Do not get me wrong. Pakistan does need a strong defense, but not this way. I see two scenarios for the improvement of the general situation of Pakistan: 1. Either these leaders come true and cooperate on putting the military in its place. 2. The people really wake up and shun all of these leaders. Because once again, our leaders are playing with us!

Anyone who creates a situation for Army to step back into politics, can't a believer in and a friend of democracy. Sadly, IK has betrayed the same principles that endeared him to millions and sowed the seeds of hope for the future of our beloved country. I can empathize with JH and with the pain he must've felt to part ways with PTI due to it's policies that can only cause chaos and instability in Pakistan. There's no doubt about the corruption and selfish motives of NS and clan, but the one hope that motivated millions to work for the betterment of Pakistan seems to have been the light of an incoming freight train rather than the light at the end of the tunnel of despair for our beloved land.

This old man has just awakened from deep slumber? When all this was happening why Mr " BAGHI" did not raise voice against this " Conspiracy". Will Mr " Baghi" tell us who was gen Zia in whose cabinet you joined. At this time all this was " HALAL"? Infact Hashmi has not stabbed in the back of Imran Khan but he has betrayed to those thousands of workers who are facing bullets and sate suppression at this moment. This is the end of Mr Hashmi's politics. the only option for him is to rejoin PML-N and hold the banner of Sharifs' allegiance. The damage Mr Hashmi has inflicted to Imran Khan will be repaired sooner or later but But his own politics is now taking its last breathe.

A vpilent mob attacks the sanctity of the parliament and you advise security agencies to not to receoprocat means lay down before the marchers and let them rollover the bodies of police and law enforcing agencies, very rediculous on your part to ewsolpve this crux in a recent meeting
