THIS is apropos the letter in response to the editorial (Aug 23) in which the writer is of the view that the Quaid never undertook an unconstitutional measure.

Allow me to state that the Quaid ordered that a Direct Action Day be observed on Aug 16, 1946, when all constitutional measures failed to provide justice to the Muslims of India.

Mr Khan has also taken this step as a last resort after he was denied justice by the government, the election tribunal and the Supreme Court.

In another letter, “PTI’s conundrum” the writer is angry with the PTI for not holding local body elections in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. He seems unaware that it is the Supreme Court’s decision to postpone local body elections and not that of the KPK government.
