LAHORE: A man and his son were gunned down by two unidentified persons in Iqbal Town on Wednesday.

Police said Chaudhry Irshad, 60, and his son Osama, 25, of 56-Badar Block, were going by a car when two motorcyclists shot at them outside their residence and fled.

Police said Irshad died at the spot while Osama was shifted to Jinnah Hospital where he succumbed to his injuries.

Quoting neighbourers, police said the victims were traders in Akbari Gate.

Station House Officer Muhammad Sarwar told Dawn Irshad and Osama might have been killed over a land dispute.

He said the police had not yet received any application from the heirs.

Police shifted the bodies to morgue for an autopsy.
