PESHAWAR, July 23: NWFP Chief Minister Akram Khan Durrani has lashed out at the elements who he said were maligning the  MMA government, saying that such people played havoc with the national exchequer while in power.

“We are adhered to democratic principles and tolerance in politics and do not want to disturb peace in the society,” he said while talking to a JUI’s delegation here on Tuesday.

He  said all  those  creating  doubts and misunderstanding would gain nothing, because the people were politically mature and they could differentiate between good and bad.

The MMA had been elected by the people.”We will not use our power and authority to prolong our rule rather it will be used for giving relief to the people,” he added.
