MINGORA: Two motorcyclists were killed in a road accident at Shingardar area of Swat district on Saturday, police said.

An official at Ghalegai police station said three persons, riding the motorcycle, fell on the road after being hit by a car. In the meantime they were lying on the road another car rammed into them, killing two on the spot.

The victims were named Mansoor and Arif, residents of Uch Dir, while their friend, Qaiser Shah, was shifted to hospital in injured condition. The official said that drivers of both the cars escaped the area and police were making efforts to arrest them.

DENGUE CASES: Eight more dengue cases were detected at Saidu Hospital on Saturday, raising the number of dengue patients to 105 in Mingora city during this summer.

Hospital sources said that the eight dengue patients were named Bakhat Rawan, 32, of Makan Bagh Mingora, Somayya, 17, of Dadahara, Farhana, 20, and Ruqahha, 16, of College Colony Saidu Sharif, Bakht Sahiba, 50, Zahida, 30, and Zohra, 12, of Amankot, and Samreen, 30, of Faizabad Mingora.
