LAHORE: A competitive seven-race card will be gone through when the 15th day/night Lahore Summer Meeting gets under way at the Racecourse here on Saturday evening.

The horses taking part in the events seems so tightly handicapped that picking a winner will be a difficult task for punters in five races at least, if not all.

Much will depend on rider’s skills and fitness of the horse.

In all, 57 acceptors have been declared to take part in the events, two of them to be gone over 600 metres each and the remaining five over 1,000 metres each.

The names of the riders will be declared three hours before the first race and announced thereafter.

The first race will be held at 4.30pm.
