With the media largely focused on political events in Islamabad, the internally displaced persons (IDPs) have to an extent been sidelined from the public eye. Nevertheless, despite the difficulties they have endured, as a result of the military operation in North Waziristan, their patriotic fervor is as strong as that of any Pakistani citizen.
