MIRPURKHAS, July 21: The EDO, health, Dr Fazal Elahi Yousfani, has said women health supervisors can play a vital role in the three-day polio immunization campaign to be launched on July 22 in the district.

He was speaking at a ceremony of distribution of offer letters to 16 women health supervisors here on Monday.

The EDO said Mirpurkhas was a polio-free district since 2001 but to maintain this status polio drops would be administered in the district during the campaign.

MEETING: The Nazim of union council-2, Mirpurkhas, has called a meeting of the council for Tuesday to consider a no-confidence motion against the Nazim.

As many as 19 councillors of the UC had submitted the no-trust motion against Nazim Yawar Ali Khan.

Naib Nazim Abdul Shakoor has also sent an application to the DPO, requesting him to provide security on this occasion.
