LAHORE, July 20: Bay colt Dhandhana with apprentice Azam Hussain in the saddle, won the third race to make it two in-a-row during the Lahore Gymkhana races at the Racecourse on Sunday.

Trained by Zahid Khan Dhandhana, who drifted wide on the outer tan in the straight, held of main rival Puma King, while scorching the dust track over 1200 metres to win by half-a-length. Morning Noor and Legality completed the frame, a distance away among 11 runners.

Dhandhana was a two to one second favourite with even-money favourite Puma King.

Dark-bay colt Black Nigeria ridden by Nazir Ahmad caused the biggest upset of the day in the second race. He beat Weldon Shogun, Dancing Margina and Sun Of Gold in the same order.

Later another rank outsider Better Case stormed home to win the feature event defeating fancied bay mare On On by three- fourth of a length. Morning Bird and Green Hill made up the frame in the fifth race on the card. In all, 15 ran for the event.

The sixth and last race ended in a dead-heat between Burrat Again and Easy Come Easy Go. Wall Street finished a close third with Super Time fourth, over three-and-a-half lengths further behind.
