JHANG: The Faisalabad Electric Supply Company (Fesco) chief executive officer has directed the Fesco Jhang circle superintendent engineer and the executive engineer (EXEN) to restore dual electricity supply lines for Red Crescent Hospital which were severed in 2011.

Pakistan Red Crescent Society (PRCS) Secretary Riaz Javed, through an office memorandum, informed the Fesco chief the society was running a 20-bed charity hospital. A three-phase electricity connection was installed at the Red Crescent Hospital from Jhang city feeder.

The hospital administration, under a Fesco double source connection policy, got another three-phase electricity connection 10 years back from the Millat feeder. In 2011, the company merged both connections to the Ashraf Shaheed Feeder creating problems for patients and hospital staff.

He said other hospitals were getting power from dual supply lines. Jhang EXEN Nazar Muhammad said he would look into the matter.
