HYDERABAD, Dec 19: A young woman, Ms Farzana, suffered burn injuries under mysterious circumstances and was taken to the Civil Hospital on late Tuesday night.

The city police claimed that a dispute between the woman and her husband, Shahid, led to the woman trying to immolate herself in her house on Station Road near the Habib Bank zonal office.

However, a Civil Hospital staffer said that the woman was brought to the hospital on late Tuesday night and sent to the Burns Ward.

He said that her husband had burnt her.
